Short Sample Itinerary

​

• Day 1: Road transfer from Maun to your safari area in the Okavango Delta, where you will be met by your guide and transferred by game viewer to your mobile camp. Settle into camp, enjoy lunch and unwind before embarking on your first afternoon safari activity. Stop for drinks as the sun sets, then return to camp for dinner around the fire.

• Day 2: Early morning game drive with a coffee stop in the bush, return to camp for breakfast, shower and relax until lunch. In the afternoon, head out again with your experienced guide to explore the area and discover the wildlife of the Okavango. Return to camp for dinner and an evening beneath the stars.

• Day 3: Mix things up and let your experienced guide introduce you to the wilderness in a different way this morning, with a bush walk or another suitable safari activity. Return to camp for breakfast, followed by time to relax until lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your final activity in this area before returning to camp for dinner.

• Day 4: After an early morning safari activity and breakfast, pack up and leave your first mobile camp behind. Travel by vehicle to a new mobile camp in another area of the Okavango, allowing you to experience a different landscape and explore new wildlife territory. Settle into camp before enjoying an afternoon safari activity, followed by dinner around the campfire.

• Day 5: Early morning safari activity with a coffee stop in the bush, returning to camp for breakfast. Enjoy time to relax and take in your surroundings before lunch, then head out for your final afternoon activity and explore this new area with your experienced guide. Return to camp for a final evening beneath the stars.

• Day 6: Enjoy a final early morning safari activity before returning to camp for breakfast. Shower, pack and enjoy your last moments in the wilderness before transferring by vehicle back to Maun.

 

Accommodation

You will stay in comfortable mobile camps, offering an authentic and immersive wilderness experience. Accommodation is in commodious safari tents with beds and en-suite facilities, allowing you to experience the bush closely while still enjoying the comforts of camp. All camps and activities are subject to group size, season, weather and availability.

 

Highlights

This itinerary offers an immersive Okavango experience, travelling by car from Maun into the wilderness and exploring the Delta from two different mobile camp locations. Moving between areas allows you to experience contrasting landscapes and wildlife habitats while travelling with experienced private guides. With game drives, bush walks and time spent in the wilderness, the safari provides an opportunity to experience the Okavango away from the larger lodges and deeper in the bush.
