Our FGASA-endorsed and certified guide training courses are conducted in the Okavango Delta, Botswana, offering immersive 28-day Nature Guide and Trails Guide qualification programmes designed for those who want to develop a deeper understanding of the wilderness and build a career as a professional guide.
Based in a remote wilderness setting, surrounded by the Delta’s waterways, wildlife and ever-changing landscapes, our training moves far beyond the classroom. Students learn through a combination of theory and practical field experience, developing essential skills in guiding, wildlife interpretation, walking, tracking, navigation, animal behaviour and wilderness awareness. Living and working in the bush becomes an integral part of the learning process, allowing aspiring guides to experience the environment from the inside rather than simply studying it.
Our approach is hands-on, immersive and demanding, encouraging students to develop confidence, observation, decision-making and a genuine connection with the natural world. It is an opportunity to step away from everyday life, challenge yourself and learn what it truly means to live, work and guide in the wilderness.
