Overview

A combination of immersive camp-based and wilderness trails experiences in the Okavango Delta offers a rare opportunity to experience the African bush in its purest form. Spend seven nights in a remote wilderness areas - 4 nights in a comfortable tented camp and 3 nights sleeping in the bush - exploring the Delta on foot and by open safari vehicle. Days combine guided walks, game drives, wildlife tracking and discovering the Delta’s spectacular landscapes, with relaxed lunches beneath shady trees. Depending on the seasonal water levels, there may also be the opportunity to explore the waterways by mokoro or traditional dugout canoe, adding another perspective to the Delta experience. Evenings are spent around the fire, under the stars — listening to the sounds of the wilderness and reflecting on the day. This is an immersive, authentic safari that reconnects you with the rhythm of the wild and the deeper essence of exploration.

Short Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Maun by game-drive vehicle, approximately 2.5 hours, travelling deep into a remote and exclusive wilderness area. Arrive at camp in the afternoon, settle into your tent and enjoy lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Stop for drinks at sundown and return to camp for dinner around the fire.
Day 2: Early morning walk with your experienced guide, returning to camp for breakfast. Enjoy time to shower and relax until lunch, before heading out on another afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and an evening beneath the stars.
Day 3 - 6: After an early morning breakfast in camp head out to the 3-night wilderness trail, spending hours on foot immersing yourself into this pristine natural environment and exploring the area, having relaxing lunches under shady trees and sleeping under the stars. On the afternoon of day 6 you return to camp for dinner
Day 7: Early morning game drive with a coffee stop in the bush, returning to camp for breakfast. Enjoy a relaxed morning before lunch, in the afternoon, head out on your final game drive before enjoying your last evening around the campfire.
Day 8: Wake to the sounds of the wilderness and enjoy a final breakfast before packing up and departing camp. Transfer by game-drive vehicle back towards Maun, reflecting on an unforgettable week immersed in the African bush.

Accommodation

You will spend the first two and final two nights in a comfortable and intimate mobile-style wilderness camp in a remote and exclusive wilderness area. The middle three nights form an immersive wilderness trail, traveling on foot and sleeping in simple wilderness camps beneath the stars, creating a deeper connection with the landscape and its wildlife. All accommodation and activities are subject to group size, season, weather and availability.
